Just Arrived! Guintrand's Basque Piperade

Our partner Guintrand, canner since 1898 in Provence, was of the 124 artisans selected to represent French craftsmanship at the Major Made in France Exhibition which took place at the Elysee Palace on July 1st & 2nd, 2023. 

A well-deserved recognition for a family-run company highly commited to perpertuating ancestral know-how with exclusively locally sourced ingredients. The result is that you know what you eat, you eat healthy and benefit from the virtues of veggies ripen under the sun of South of France. 

Preparation made from tomatoes, green and red peppers, and onions, all of Provençal or Mediterranean origin. These carefully selected vegetables are washed and trimmed before being cut into pieces. The tomatoes are seeded beforehand, while the peppers are stemmed and seeded. The onion and herbs are sautéed in olive oil. The mixture is then slowly cooked in a covered pot.
