One of Lefèvre-Utile, Biscuits Lu vintage metal posters "Mère, Enfants et Chien" purchased in France, which was part of Douce France decorations when we had a coffee shop.
Firmin Bouisset was a painter, poster artist, and printer. Bouisset's works often depict children or themes related to youth. The artist created a number of illustrated children's books, including "La petite ménagère" in 1890.
Bouisset also created advertising posters for a variety of French food companies, such as Maggi and Lefèvre-Utile Biscuit Co. Bouisset used the initials L.U. from this company to design their poster with "Le petit écolier." This logo is still used today. There is no doubt that this image is iconic, as classic as the works of Cappiello, Mucha, and Cheret.
Lefèvre-Utile sometimes hired artists like Bocchino to create advertisements for their biscuits.
