Wanted to thank Christel and crew for a wonderful experience with my daughter’s 30th birthday French themed basket.
The resulting present was full of scrumptious delicacies that reminded her of her time spent in Normandie.
Everything was fresh and delicious! And their suggestions and item recommendations just added to the beauty of the gift.
Thank you SO MUCH!
Would recommend in a heartbeat.

All the baskets arrived to destination and my family and friends weren’t able to wait until Christmas, and devoured their goodies. My Breton friend said that the marrons glacé brought him back to the Christmas mornings of his childhood. He said the calissons are of very high quality and he’s very impressed that such products are available in Toronto. I had to promise to take him to Douce France on his next visit to Toronto, when things return to normal!

Dear Christel, Thank you very much for your help and kind assistance.
It can be difficult arranging a gift from so far away. You have made it easy. It has been a true pleasure working with you to put our gift together. When I visit Gail I will be sure to have Douce France on top of the list for a visit. It would be lovely to meet you. I am looking forward to your pastries and tea.
Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!!!
Thank you again for helping us make this gift happen.Best regards,

My favorite gourmet French food specialty store in the Toronto area.
Located on the Danforth in the heart of Greektown is Douce France. This store carries imported French food ranging from jams, cookies, cheeses, butter and other food ingredients.
They also have fresh made pastries, sweets and chocolates, which are all very tasty.
Owner and staff always carry a smile and are happy to serve you.
For those that miss/reminisce the Paris small boutique shop vibe, then this shop is a must visit

It's always a great feeling to come across an establishment that celebrates the authenticity of their native cuisine. The store keeper/manager was really informed about the food they offer and the ingredients that go into the same; which again was a delight. The only problem was that there's just so many options to choose from, comparing my appetite!I hope to be a regular at the bakery soon enough, lol!

When I walk in to la Douce France, I have stepped into France for a few minutes! From the wonderful food that surrounds me to the welcome from the lovely owner, it is a real treat. Then the decisions!!
And where else would I find the best marrons glacées? The fabulous bottled pears in juice? Tiny baba au rhum in a jar? The best gratin dauphinois - if there are any left! The quiches, the fruit nectars, the endless variety and assortment of gorgeous biscuits! A wonderful place and I'm so happy they moved from Yonge Street to the Danforth.
Vive la gastronomie Francaise!!
