MORELLO CHERRIES & BLACKCURRANT

At Douce France, we obtain a delicious selection of morello cherries and blackcurrant from Distilleries Peureux which opened over 150 years ago in Fougerolles - the capital of cherries and wild cherries. The recipe of the morello cherries was perfected in 1880 by Claude Peureux, August's grandson, and Bernard Bau.

Small morello cherries macerate in syrup with liquor and wild cherry. They are ideal to add a very tasty touch to your cooking recipes and cocktail mixes. Additionally, they pair perfectly well with foie gras and a variety of cheeses!

Grains de Cassis Peureux pair perfectly well with fresh goat cheese, fish rillettes and will be delighful in a fruit salad or in a glass of champagne! Give them a try!

 DUBERNET'S HANDCRAFTED PÂTÉS  

Maison Dubernet was founded in 1864, in Saint-Sever in the Landes region. It is one of the oldest artisanal companies specialized in the production of pâtés, foie gras, pre-prepared meals, and charcuterie in France. It selects its ingredients from the best producers in Southwestern France. It perpetuates tradition by still preparing by hand its fresh meat, vegetables, and condiments all sourced from exceptional suppliers. 

Today Maison Dubernet symbolizes the excellence of Landais cuisine and is admired by connoisseurs and chefs in France’s finest restaurants.

PRECOOKED ESCARGOTS DE BOURGOGNE

Douce France has the great pleasure to work with Bourgogne Escargots which has built its reputation on quality. It selects the finest escargots to prepare all its products on its premises in Dijon, Burgundy. Helix Pomatia Linne is the REAL Burgundy escargot. (Very large calibre). It is the most recognized and consumed escargot in France. You will find the recipe to prepare the snail butter on the tin.

Canadian regulations on bringing meat and meat-based products being what they are, we also work with an importer to add to our selection the best of foie gras, dry sausages, duck breast, confit and fat as well as cassoulet from France. To complement our array of delicacies, we also get some toasted baguette, croutons, sliced pain d'épices and crisps from them.
