The black truffle or Périgord Truffle (Tuber Melanosporum) is the most renowned truffle of all because of the richness and complexity of its flavor, woody, musky and even sweet taste. Its flesh is black on the outside with white veins on the inside that indicates maturity. Its season goes from November to April. It grows mainly in the South of France, in Spain and in Italy.
Made from extra quality truffles, these precious pieces allow, because of their size, a very good transfer of aromas with all your dishes!
Canned truffles are as good as fresh truffles but must be worked differently. Delicious added to a mashed potato purée or in homemade terrines. A truffled egg scramble really makes you better! Give it a try!
